Free Download Portable Mcafee Stinger for Windows XP/Vista/7/8 - McAfee Stinger is a standalone utility used to detect and
remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection,
but a special tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an
infected system. Details of new or enhanced signature is added to each Stinger
establish the details listed in the Readme.
Stinger now includes Raptor - Real-time detection technology
that monitors the behavior of suspicious activity on the endpoint. Raptor
utilize machine learning and automatic classification based on the behavior of
the cloud to detect zero-day malware in real-time.
McAfee Stinger eliminate 6,000 common viruses and 'false
alerts' on-demand malware. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus, but it
is useful in many situations. McAfee Stinger is freeware for personal and
business use and require admin rights.

malware fake notices and threats identified in the "List Viruses"
section of the Stinger application. While not a replacement for full fledged
antivirus software, Stinger is updated several times a week to include
detection for variants of fake notification newer and prevalent viruses. Note
that the suspicious and infected files will be quarantined for C: \ Quarantine
\ Stinger and the database will be generated for the current PC-scan at that
location.
PROBLEM: In the current release, McAfee Stinger McAfee
Stinger apparently deliberately rammed Portable launchers during the scan
(causing some non-personal files and registry entries left). It can be cleaned
by running again after closing. It also crash FileZilla and several other
applications. We are looking for a fix.
